Pet Support
I am partnering with Laughing Dog Farm to provide the Las Cruces community with training and pet sitting support. Initial consultations for all services are free.
I can currently provide the following services:
private dog training lessons for $30/hr at Laughing Dog Farm or other location (within reason - let’s discuss your situation!)
minimum of 1 hr/session
pet sitting for $25/hr including drive time
drive time depends on the day of the week and other circumstances – I can discuss this for each visit
minimum of $20/visit
I live south of town and work 8:00 am - 5:00 pm on campus, but I can leave 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm for a pet sitting visit if you provide at least one week’s notice
over-night house sitting for $65/night base rate + $25/hr extra drive time + additional fees* for extra pets or chores

* Additional fees are calculated based on difficulty and complexity of tasks required, starting at $2/day for an extra well-behaved animal who adds only minimal work, and not often exceeding $10/day for difficult animals or complex tasks. No additional fees apply for extra animals who do not require additional care, such as certain spiders and reptiles.
FAQ:
Q: Will you take care of horses, cattle, goats, etc.? What about parrots? Rabbits?
A: Yes! I have extensive experience with horses, chickens, and parrots, and I have some experience with most other animals. I am always excited to learn about any animal you may have.
Q: Are you willing to watch my reactive dog with a history of nipping at people while I’m away?
A: Yes, probably. Contact me, and we will schedule an initial consultation. We will discuss options for taking care of your dog while you are away. I may request that you and your reactive dog train with me for at least a few sessions before we leave - for your dog’s comfort as well as mine.
